Rent’s 20th Anniversary Tour Delights Fans

With the 20th anniversary tour already underway Rent is still broadcasting its important message to audiences around the world.

Written by Jonathan Larson, Rent tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create a life in New York City’s East Village in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.

The national tour comes just 8 years after the closing of the show’s 12-year run on Broadway.

Most of the cast for this show’s first experience with Rent was watching the 2005 movie adaptation. Despite their young ages most fans are enjoying the revival of a beloved musical.
