Starting tonight, Hamilton’s Chicago fanbase wont have to wait for it any longer. Tonight begins previews for Hamilton Chicago, the first post-Broadway production of the show.
Just 8 weeks after their first rehearsal the cast will preform the whole show for an audience for the first time.
The cast is led by Miguel Cervantes as Alexander Hamilton, Tony Award nominee Joshua Henry as Aaron Burr, Tony Award winner Karen Olivo as Angelica Schuyler, Ari Afsar as Eliza Hamilton, Alexander Gemignani as King George III, Chris Lee as Marquis De Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Joseph Morales as Cervantes’ Alternate, Jose Ramos as John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton, Wallace Smith as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, Samantha Marie Ware as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds and Jonathan Kirkland as George Washington.
Throughout the rehearsal process, the cast delighted fans with remixes of Hamilton songs shot on 10 minute breaks.
This production, like the New York production, will offer a day-of digital lottery, in which 44 day-of-show tickets will be sold for every performance for $10 each. Seat locations vary per performance; some seats will be located in the front row and the boxes.
Miranda is also offering a donation-based lottery to win tickets to the official opening night, October 19.
